Steed's camera, and some film, are stolen after he had Venus take some photographs at a funfair. One roll was missed by the thief, however, and the roll contains a picture of a cypher clerk who recently commited suicide. But the photo was taken after the man's death!
The first Venus episode that I viewed. Nothing special... standard blackmail/treason plot. Loses points for Venus's goofy hat!
In spite of getting off a clear open shot at Steed's back from about twenty paces, Strong still somehow manages to miss him.
The murdered man who appears behind the opening titles not only moves his eyelids, but also contracts his neck... thus rolling his Adam's apple.
There's a resounding clonk when Venus and Sheba the dog pass through the amusement arcade's door.
The sound of a door closing can be heard while the record producer accosts Steed in the music studio.
Background movement is heard during Steed's conversation with Mrs. Trevelyan.
An off-camera conversation can be heard while Strong, Venus, and Mr. Trevelyan play out a scene in the backroom.
The boom mike sneaks into view as Steed and Venus leave the ghost train tunnel entrance.
In conversation with Steed, One-Six turns and noisily bumps into a chair.
Brown shoots some clay pipes in the penny arcade. After two rounds have been fired, the gun jams... but a third shot is heard. He then picks up a second rifle, pulls the trigger, and the hammer strikes. But the sound of the shot is not heard until a second or so later.
The shadow of the boom mike moves briefly across the back of Venus's head when she exclaims that Trevelyan should be dead.
